The official notification for the exam has been released, here we give the exam schedule, eligibility and other details so that students have necessary documents and information while they are applying for NEET 2018. The exam will be conducted in Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2018 Exam is scheduled to be held on May 06, 2018, across centres in the country. All students and interested applicants are also informed that NEET 2018 is the only medical entrance examination for admission to MBBS and BDS or medical and dental colleges in the country. The NEET 2018 scores would be applicable to all government, government aided and private medical colleges in the country.

According to the board who is the official organizer of the national level medical exam, the syllabus of National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 will be exactly same as it was for NEET, 2017.

NEET 2018 New Changes Introduced
- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have joined 15% All India Quota scheme. Candidates of these states need not to submit Self Declaration form now. Candidates from J&K state only, have to submit self declaration form for seats under 15% All India Quota.
- Indian students who wish to pursue MBBS/BDS from a foreign Medical Institute, they have qualify NEET (UG) examination.
- The attempt limit has been removed from 2018. Now, candidates may attempt the NEET exam maximum times untill the 25 years of age (30 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
- NIOS or State Open School or private candidate are not eligible for NEET 2018 exam.
- There will be one set for question paper in all languages.
- As per officials the exam will be bilingual (except language chosen in English).

Eligibility criteria for NEET UG 2018:
NEET 2018 Eligibility: The eligibility criteria remain more or less same. Students who have appeared or would be appearing in their Class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Also, the minimum age requirement for appearing in NEET is 17 years as on 31.12.2018.The upper age limit, as per the notification is 25 years as on the date of examination.
Also, please note that a maximum of 3 attempts would be allowed to candidates to appear in NEET. NEET 2017 was considered as the first attempt. Students who fulfil the criteria as mentioned can appear for NEET 2018. For candidates who appeared in 2017 and are planning to re-appear, NEET 2019 would be the last attempt. All candidates are hence advised to carefully go through the instructions before filling the online application form.
NEET 2018 syllabus not to be changed, CBSE issues notification:
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an official notification, on its website cbseneet.nic.in, denying any sort of changes which were speculated to be made in the NEET UG syllabus. There were rumors that state curriculum might be included in the syllabus. The notice issued by the CBSE states, “The syllabus of NEET (UG) 2018 will be exactly same as it was for NEET (UG) 2017. There is no change in the syllabus of NEET (UG) 2018”. The NEET 2018 notification is expected to be released anytime soon.
In 2017, the exam was conducted on Sunday, May 7 and therefore, this year too, NEET is likely to be held in the first week of May. The exam is held for admission in MBBS seats in medical colleges across India. Only AIIMS and JIPMER conducts their own exam. NEET was made mandatory from 2016. The exam will be conducted in Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. Aspirants should have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with physics, chemistry, biology/bio-technology and English individually. Moreover, they must have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in physics, chemistry and biology/bio-technology at the qualifying examination. Also, last year, CBSE made Aadhaar card mandatory for registration. This is, however, not applicable in Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya. For NRIs, passport number is required for the same.
NEET UG 2018 exam pattern:
There will be one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with a single correct answer) from physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). The duration of paper would be three hours from 10 am to 1 pm. Question papers can be obtained in the following languages – Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.
NEET UG Admit Card:
The CBSE will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET (UG) on the Board’s website alongwith a format for affixing of Postcard size photograph. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein. Candidate may please note that admit cards will not be sent by the post. When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in pdf fomat will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered email id.
The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination entre allotted. The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card downloaded by him/her for all the entries made therein.
How to Apply for NEET UG 2018:
Candidates are reminded that only online application forms for NEET 2018 would be accepted. To apply, students are required to log in to the official website of NEET 2018 which is cbseneet.nic.in and click on Apply Online link – which is now active. Follow the instructions and upload the image along with your signature to complete the form. All students are also reminded that the allocation of examination city would be strictly on first come first serve basis. Hence, it is always advisable to apply at the earliest. The online portal for NEET 2018 would be available until March 9, 2018.
Step 1 – Candidates can apply ONLY ONLINE.
Step 2 – Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website www.cbseneet.nic.in Instructions for submitting online application and payment of fee are available on website.
Step 3 – Candidates may remit the fee in the following manner:
